CUMBRIA COUNTY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
(Part time post – 3.5 days per week – Pro Rata - £17,500)

Helping to introduce golf to more people in Cumbria and to deliver the ‘Grow’ and ‘Sustain’ elements of the Whole Sport Plan, the Cumbria Golf Partnership requires a County Development Officer to join their progressive team.
The position is home based, although the successful candidate will be required to travel as necessary to attend meetings and work days/weekends/evenings/school holidays as required.
The contract is on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2013, working 3 and a half days per week with flexible working hours on a self employed basis. The County Development Officer will be entitled to a laptop, travel and other expenses and will also be responsible for their own National Insurance and Income Tax.
We are seeking candidates with a good knowledge of golf in general and the administration structure. The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously, be highly motivated and have the ability to work well with professionals and volunteers. Key skills required include excellent written and verbal communication and a good IT user ability.
The County Development Officer will be responsible for developing the aims of the Cumbria Golf Partnership through the strategy identified in the Development Plan. Prior work experience in a leisure/golf related industry and/or sports development environment is desirable but not essential.
